VerseD: 1 Peter 4:10

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace:
1 Peter 4:10, ESV

We could say “blessed to bless,” but it goes deeper. If you have opportunity, serve others and share the Gospel, even out of meager offerings and skill.

VerseD: Galatians 2:20

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Galatians 2:20, ESV

Have you been crucified with Christ? Is your life all about the One who loved you and gave His life for you?

As a Christian, we are called to show and share that love and sacrifice with this world. (Not just pastors!)

VerseD: Romans 10:9

because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Romans 10:9, ESV

There is no other way to God but through Jesus.

You must believe in Him. Barring a few exceptions, you must confess this truth. Without these, you are still in your sins and separated from Him.

VerseD: Romans 12:12

Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.
Romans 12:12, ESV

We have so much to be thankful for, and we were promised this life would be hard, especially for Christians in this fallen world.

Be in constant conversation with our Lord, to thank Him and rely on Him.

VerseD: Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6:23, ESV

We all have sinned and deserve God’s wrath and separation from Him.

Thanks to Jesus, we are shown grace and forgiveness to eternal life.

VerseD: 1 Thessalonians 5:17

pray without ceasing,
1 Thessalonians 5:17, ESV

Prayer is not a last resort or simply for asking for things or help.

Prayer should be a constant conversation with the Lord and Creator of everything … who has called us friends.

VerseD: Colossians 4:2

Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.
Colossians 4:2, ESV

Do not merely recite prayers “because you have to.” Pray continuously, seeking God, His will, and wisdom, but also being aware of your world and those around you. And thank Him for His provision, that He is in control, and His love and grace.

VerseD: Hebrews 12:2

looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews 12:2, ESV

What is faith? Jesus is the source. Without the cross and resurrection, we have no basis for faith.

Christ’s faithfulness gives us faith.

VerseD: Matthew 6:14

For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Matthew 6:14-15, ESV

A sign of repentance and a new heart is how we treat others. If we are unable to forgive others, have we truly found forgiveness ourselves?

VerseD: Revelation 4:11

“Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.”
Revelation 4:11, ESV

God deserves all praise, honor, and glory, if for no other reason than He created everything.

Further, He saved us through His Son. That deserves our love and devotion.
