VerseD: Matthew 10:16

“Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.”
Matthew 10:16, ESV

We are not only to be concerned about those in the world, but many within the fold of Christianity are deceitful and wicked servants of evil while putting on a good show of righteousness.

  • With all things love God and others

Playing favorites, disobeying rules and laws, not setting appropriate limits: all of these can destroy a nation … or a family or business or friendship or church.

Remember: as Christians, we will one day reign with King Jesus. We are all royalty through Him.

VerseD: Hebrews 10:35-36

Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised.
Hebrews 10:35‭-‬36, ESV

VerseD: Proverbs 22:4

The reward for humility and fear of the Lord is riches and honor and life.

Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God.
2 Corinthians 7:1, ESV

We know that God is preparing the Bride of Christ, His Church, to be a holy temple, and that Christ will be returning soon.
Therefore, we should be preparing ourselves, as well, knowing He keeps His promises and works all things for His glory.

The Lord draws all peoples to Himself. We are all made in the image of God, so we all must share the gospel with all people. As it says, one day every knee will bow to Jesus.

VerseD: Isaiah 26:4

Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.
Isaiah 26:4 ESV

On Christ the solid rock I stand.

All other ground is sinking sand.

Only in Him do we find salvation, hope, peace, and strength.

VerseD: 2 Corinthians 5:7

for we walk by faith, not by sight.
2 Corinthians 5:7, ESV

We live in a corrupt, fallen world, full of people made in God’s image but with corrupt, fallen hearts and minds. They are inherently against Christ.

Therefore, we walk by faith knowing things will not get better until the new Earth, and people will be hostile and stupid even as we love them.
