This Sunday: Praying for the health of the older deacons in your church

Most of our deacons are retirement age, and one only left the military for disability while still of working age. All deacons need prayer, but especially as the get older and face more and more health concerns.

The gospel includes acknowledging and praising the good God of pur salvation.

The gospel includes celebrating the joy and grace of Christ’s sacrifice and resurrection, bringing light into every part of life.

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up as you are already doing.

The gospel includes encouragement in the Spirit, and we encourage each other in Christ to continue seeking God and proclaim the gospel to others.

Love finds no joy in unrighteousness but rejoices in the truth.

The gospel includes hating our sin and turning to the righteousness of Christ, walking in His way and helping others to follow.

A voice of one crying out: Prepare the way of the Lord in the wilderness; make a straight highway for our God in the desert.

The gospel includes hearing the truth of God and shifting life for His truth, hearing the voice calling us to repentance and then becoming the voice calling others to repentance.

The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. We observed his glory, the glory as the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

The gospel includes saving us from sin, which required Jesus coming as a man in the glory and grace of God, truly God and truly Man.

This Sunday at Church: Pray for the church’s members affected by US Government Shutdown

Our congregation has a few people affected by the shutdown. We help them every time this happens, but there are many people who do not have this help. Let us pray for and be prepared to help many.
