VerseD: Romans 1:16

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

Romans 1:16, ESV

We can be quick to share good news in our lives, or of something we think has helped make our lives better, but how quickly do we share the Gospel?

Are the words of Christ readily on our lips?

VerseD: Matthew 5:10

“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

Matthew 5:10, ESV

We have the Kingdom of God in our hearts, carrying it into the world. This means we confront the world with their sin, and they will lash out.

Yet, it means they are confronted with the truth and goodness of God.

VerseD: Hebrews 4:12

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Hebrews 4:12, ESV

God revealed His Word to show us our sin, our separation and wickedness, but also that He has saved us through Christ.

May we faithfully share His Word with the world.

VerseD: Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Jeremiah 29:11, ESV

God will allow and even send trials our way to strengthen us, make us more Christ-like, and to be a light to others who suffer through trials.

VerseD: Proverbs 11:25

Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.

Proverbs 11:25, ESV

We are blessed to bless. God gives to us so that we can give to others.

There is also a joy that comes from giving to others, especially when the gospel is shared and they find the joy of salvation.

VerseD: Proverbs 13:20

Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.

Proverbs 13:20, ESV

We can choose to follow this world and its rejection of and rebellion to God, or we can follow God and His People – the Church – pursuing Christ, the Wosdom of God.

VerseD: 1 Corinthians 9:25

Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable.

1 Corinthians 9:25, ESV

The Holy Spirit helps give us self-control, for we know that to be like Christ is the greatest prize. Wouldn’t we want to be as much like our Creator and Savior as possible?

VerseD: Matthew 5:4

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”

Matthew 5:4, ESV

We mourn our sin, and we are comforted by Christ’s grace and love. We then mourn the sin of the world and carry that grace and love to others.

VerseD: 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

2 Corinthians 1:3‭-‬4, ESV

Our God understands our hurts and fears, and He offers us His comfort that we might turn and comfort those around us.

VerseD: Psalm 121:2

My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

Psalm 121:2, ESV

Our Maker – who made everything – wants to give us all His love, wisdom, and grace to help us through this life and into the next.

Trust in God.
