Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land, who do his just commands; seek righteousness; seek humility; perhaps you may be hidden on the day of the anger of the Lord. Zephaniah 2:3, ESV
God is returning in judgment. Sooner than we may think. Be humble and realize your need for His salvation through Christ’s work and from breaking His commands, and you will escape His wrath.
I know I have talked with too many people as of late – both churchgoers and non – who feel no need to repent of sinful behavior and lifestyle. Quite a few, in fact, who are convinced of a universalist view that Christ’s death freed everyone regardless of heart condition. We all “just need to realize our actions have some real world consequences, but we all are redeemed. Christians just don’t get sick or suffer.”
Do we truly love the Lord our God with all our hearts, souls, minds, and strengths? Maybe I can help with the mind part, at least! This is Daniel M. Klem, apparent poet, reluctant yet passionate Disciple (Peter?), and foolish man attempting to understand theology!
Sure a good reminder in these days
