VerseD: 1 John 4:18

There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.
1 John 4:18, ESV

We should come to Christ because of the fear of our sin falling under God’s wrath. Yet, that fear is washed away with our sin by the blood of Jesus!

VerseD: Isaiah 26:4

Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.
Isaiah 26:4 ESV

On Christ the solid rock I stand.

All other ground is sinking sand.

Only in Him do we find salvation, hope, peace, and strength.

VerseD: Hebrews 7:25

Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.
Hebrews 7:25, ESV

We have a High Priest who has made the ultimate sacrifice for our sin.

Because He lives and can never die, He can perfectly petition the Father on our behalf, no matter how many times we fail, rebel, and fall short.

We were saved at the cross, and Christ saves us still and until eternity.

VerseD: 1 Timothy 2:5-6

For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time.
1 Timothy 2:5‭-‬6, ESV

There is only one way we can be saved, through Christ.

There is only One to whom we should pray for all people and things in life, our Father in heaven.

We should give thanks and seek His face, by the power of the Holy Spirit.

VerseD: 1 Peter 1:3

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead
1 Peter 1:3 ESV

Give God all the praise you can for our salvation, paid for through Christ’s death and established through His resurrection!

VerseD: Romans 10:10

For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.
Romans 10:10, ESV

Some confess without ever believing. Some believe and are not able to confess.

However, it does take faith, and we are commanded to share (if possible) that Jesus is our Redeemer and Lord. (Matthew 28:18-20)

VerseD: Matthew 5:44

But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
Matthew 5:44, ESV

We are not to get vengeance. We are not to seek retribution.

We are to help fellow sinners get free from God’s wrath. If we refuse to love them, their trip to Hell may be on our own heads.

You want vengeance for their sin? Lead them to repentance through prayer and the Gospel.

VerseD: Isaiah 43:2

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.
Isaiah 43:2, ESV

Whether literal waters or fire, or the symbolic waters of humanity (see the sea in Revelation) or fires of controversy and problems, or even of salvation from the hell of God’s wrath, it is faith in God’s faithfulness and mercy that protects us.

VerseD: Isaiah 12:2

“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.”
Isaiah 12:2, ESV

Many things happen in this world, but through Jesus Christ we know that God is in control and has and will redeem us from this fallen world.

VerseD: 2 Timothy 1:9

[God] who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began,
2 Timothy 1:9, ESV

We are saved by Christ’s good work to do good works in His Name throughout this world to give glory to God. This is our calling in life.
