VerseD: Isaiah 43:2

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.

God is telling us that because He loves us and died for our forgiveness, we are unharmed by His wrath and can enter His eternal city.

Our world is full of worries and concerns, but Christ died and rose to life again to give us hope that there is something more beyond the pain and worries.

VerseD: Hebrews 13:5

Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Do we show this world we want the creature comforts of this life or that we have a hope of eternity with the Lover of our souls?

VerseD: Matthew 6:19

“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal,”
Matthew 6:19, ESV

Why would the lost of the world want to come to God if now is the best life can be because of health, wealth, and nice things? Rather, they should see that this world has no true hold on us, but that we have not in all circumstances and desire a new world with God.

VerseD: Hebrews 11:1

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:1, ESV

We do not “merely believe” something. We show others that we do not follow a blind faith. We have an assurance of our hope as revealed in the Gospel and a peace given through the Word and the Holy Spirit.

We show our trust that God knows what He is doing by living in the hope of eternity, even during hard and difficult times, and sharing the Gospel of Hope and Peace with the world.

VerseD: Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Because of our sin, we all deserve to die and face punishment. But God, in His loving mercy and grace, has saved us from our sin and given us the hope of eternal life through Jesus.

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

This world is full of things and people that hurt and mistreat us, but God grants us peace of mind and forgiveness with the hope of freedom from all suffering in eternity.

VerseD: Exodus 14:14

“The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.”
Exodus 14:14, ESV

It is possible that the Lord will remove hassles and troubles (and even evil people) in our lives, but more importantly we have peace knowing that this world will end and evil will be punished while we will find rest in Christ.

VerseD: Matthew 11:28-29

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
Matthew 11:28‭-‬29, ESV

Our Lord, who took the ultimate pain on Himself, wants to take our pain, worries, amd fears, too.
He may not immediately relieve all our suffering, but we have the hope of full relief and peace in Christ at His return.
