We are adopted children of God by faith in Christ. We are siblings by Blood.
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9, ESV
We can not earn or work our way to God. We either remain under God’s wrath or we accept His grace and forgiveness offered through Christ’s atoning work on the cross.
So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.
Romans 10:17, ESV
We learn of Christ through His Word, the Bible, and those who have believed the Eternal Word must share it and Him with others.
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
John 11:25-26, ESV
Not everyone will die physically: those of us who believe Jesus, the Son of God, physically came to live, to die for our sins, and rose again, will inherit eternal life through Him; and some will be taken up with Him at His return having never physically died.

Anything we do is temporary, and we are all destined to die.
It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we enter eternal life.
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:1, ESV
We do not “merely believe” something. We show others that we do not follow a blind faith. We have an assurance of our hope as revealed in the Gospel and a peace given through the Word and the Holy Spirit.
And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

We either push God away or draw near to Him.
How do we draw near? By faith in Him, through reading the Bible, and through fellowship with other believers.
that is, that we may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith, both yours and mine.

We all have moments of doubt, weakness, and misunderstandings, so let us encourage each other in faith by the Word of God and through action by the power of the Holy Spirit.

God does not need long prayers, but He does enjoy speaking with us. We can ask over and over, but He does know our hearts and requests as well as what we need.
He wants our devotion and to give us what we need.
“If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”
Luke 11:13, ESV
Most of us like giving gifts. What greater gift can we get than Jesus, the Son of God, by the power of the Holy Spirit?
