VerseD: 1 John 4:19

We love because he first loved us.
1 John 4:19, ESV

This world mistreats us and at best does not care if we die.
This world killed our Lord, but He came willingly to die because He loves us.
Now, we show love to this world.

VerseD: Psalm 107:1

Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!
Psalm 107:1, ESV

God has shown His love by cleansing us of all of our sin through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.
We do not understand how grateful we should be, but we will have eternity to learn and give thanks!

VerseD: Ephesians 4:32

Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
Ephesians 4:32, ESV

Christ is our example: if He can forgive we who gave Him the death penalty and spray in His face, how much should we love those around us, especially other Christians? It is the least we can do, by His power.

VerseD: 1 John 4:18

There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.
1 John 4:18, ESV

Do we fear God? If we are still sinning intentionally, yes, because we may still be under His wrath. But by grace through faith, we are saved from His wrath because of His love, so we no longer have reason to fear His wrath or anything else in this world.

VerseD: Luke 6:35

But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil.
Luke 6:35, ESV

Just as Christ gave up His life and served others – we humans who killed Him – we ought to serve others sacrificially,  even those who mistreat us.

VerseD: Romans 16:5

Greet also the church in their house. Greet my beloved Epaenetus, who was the first convert to Christ in Asia.
Romans 16:5, ESV

Let us remember to encourage and love on those we cannot see often or at all, from new believers to those who have walked for decades.

VerseD: 1 John 1:7

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.
1 John 1:7, ESV

We can be assured of our salvation as we encourage each other to walk in the light of the Word (both the Person of Jesus and Holy Scripture, by the Holy Spirit.)

VerseD: 2 John 1:6

And this is love, that we walk according to his commandments; this is the commandment, just as you have heard from the beginning, so that you should walk in it.
2 John 1:6, ESV

God’s command to us is to love each other by pointing and lifting each other toward Him in all godliness and goodness.

VerseD: Romans 1:12

that is, that we may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith, both yours and mine.
Romans 1:12, ESV

We all have moments of doubt, weakness, and misunderstandings, so let us encourage each other in faith by the Word of God and through action by the power of the Holy Spirit.

VerseD: Romans 16:16

Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the churches of Christ greet you.
Romans 16:16, ESV

We are all in this struggle together. Let us encourage and lift up each other in Christ, regardless of denomination or theological differences.
We all need the Gospel and support.
