VerseD: Isaiah 43:2

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.

Isaiah 43:2, ESV

This world can be overwhelming, death and suffering terrifying, the fear of Hell debilitating.

But Christ has redeemed us, and by His Spirit we are comforted. Our hope is in Him and eternity with Him, so that our worries and fears are diminished in light of His glory.

Our sovereign God is in control. We have nothing to fear, for we know He has a plan. We will one day have the joy of eternal peace in His presence.

The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe.

Proverbs 29:25, ESV

When we follow along with the crowd or are too afraid to stand for what is true and right because of the culture, we risk offending our Creator even more.

The worst the world can do to us is kill us, and then we are with God, anyway.

We no longer need to fear God’s wrath after we come to Christ. Instead, we should fear for those who do not know Him and share the Gospel with them.
