VerseD: Isaiah 53:5

But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace,  and with his wounds we are healed.

Isaiah 53:5, ESV

Christ has taken all our sin and shame on Himself that we might have peace and be one with God, healing the rift that we put between ourselves and a holy God.
