I help a friend manage an independent coffee shop. Thankfully, his shop is doing well! We actually saw sales more than double after the initial shutdown!
However, just this past few weeks saw three stores around us close permanently. A few dozen other businesses I know of have closed permanently in the past six months, and I have known some of those owners and several of their employees.
Let us lift all of these people up in prayer.

Our bread is more than something to eat. We are sustained by God’s written Word and The Word, Jesus Christ. Daily reading of Scripture encourages our souls. Seeking Jesus by the help of the Holy Spirit gives us assurance and strength.
