This Sunday at Church: Talk about what you read during the week
I am part of a very large group, spread out around the world!) participating in a daily reading plan in the YouVersion Bible app. It has discussion at the end. My wife and I are doing that and another one for just us, also in the app. Our church is going through Ephesians, and we assign readings to encourage everyone thi follow along and dig deeper.
There are many ways to stay engaged with the Word and each other about the Word.
Honestly, we have no excuse in the Western culture to not be reading something during the week. (I let the app read passages to me so that I hear it, too.) As it says in Ephesians 5, “Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her
by the washing of water with the word,
so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.” (vv. 25-27, ESV)So read the Word. Tell others about it this week.
