VerseD: Matthew 4:4

But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’””

Matthew 4:4, ESV

The Word of God tells us we constantly fall short, but by the grace shown through Christ we can be made righteous and have hope of eternal life.

“Yet even now,” declares the Lord, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning”

VerseD: Isaiah 55:6-7

“Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near; let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.”

Isaiah 55:6‭-‬7, ESV

God can be found in this life only. Only now can we be forgiven and find the path to eternal life: faith in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth.

VerseD: Revelation 3:20

VerseD: Proverbs 29:25

The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe.

Proverbs 29:25, ESV

When we follow along with the crowd or are too afraid to stand for what is true and right because of the culture, we risk offending our Creator even more.

The worst the world can do to us is kill us, and then we are with God, anyway.
