Guest Post: Open My Eyes to Jesus

A dear brother submitted his own thoughts today.

Enjoy as you seek Christ.

Daniel

15When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. “Oh no, my LORD! What shall we do?” the servant asked.
16“Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”
17And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, LORD, so that he may see.” Then the LORD opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

2 Kings 6:15-17

How many times in our life have we looked at situations that seem daunting and scary? I have fallen into the trap of not believing that our God has things under control.

I have fallen into the trap of not believing that our God has things under control.

I pray that God would open up our spiritual eyes and have Faith that God has it under His control. We may never see chariots of fire, but we can by faith see our tough circumstances in the light of God’s power.

Open my eyes, LORD. I want to see Jesus.

Speaking through another …

Today marks the first time I have written a guest post for another blogger!

Heather is out on a short-term mission trip to Costa Rica this week (pray for her, her team, and the Costa Ricans!), and I am one of the people helping her out while she is gone. I know some who read my blog do not care for a few of their beliefs, but Heather is a member of the Independent Fundamentalist Baptist Church which is famous/infamous (depending on your view) of being Kings-James-Version-Only-ists. In other words, they believe only the King James Version of the Bible is the only viable and authorized version. Regardless of this, Heather is one of the most amazing young Christian women I have ever had the privilege of befriending (albeit, only online).

Not only should you go check out my guest post, but seriously consider reading more of her work. As I said, she is pretty amazing.

God bless! Catch ya later, Bill and Ted… I mean, everyone!
