We are looking for deacons all the time. I work with our deacons specifically to help make their work cohesive (not micromanage. I am way too engaged in several areas to do that!) More help is always needed and wanted. Having godly men and their wives is always great, and helping them grow is even better.
I joked around with one of our deacons about how he could grow as a teacher, and he said, “That’s definitely not my calling!” Today, he has taken on a teaching role at work and is about to help launch our new Young Adults ministry as our main teacher! And he’s the one who stepped up!
Pray for specific servants for the church. God raises them up in amazing ways.

As the youth pastor who is married to the children’s director, I pray about this frequently. We are blessed to have built up a good little team. All who teach God’s Word need prayer (that should be all Christians!) Let us remember those engaging young minds, hearts, and souls.

Also, be prepared for the challenges that arise as a church grows! Continue praying and seeking God, as individuals and a congregation.

Since October 2015 I have blogged responses to alleged Bible contradictions listed on the Skeptic Annotated Bible. Apparently this week I hit a milestone: I have refuted three hundred alleged Bible Contradiction! Below is the listing of these posts, beginning with the newer posts since the last milestone I posted of 250 Bible contradictions:
I personally have been trying to be more intentional in all areas of life, and I think … nay, KNOW we can all be more intentional when praising our God.

Do we truly love the Lord our God with all our hearts, souls, minds, and strengths? Maybe I can help with the mind part, at least! This is Daniel M. Klem, apparent poet, reluctant yet passionate Disciple (Peter?), and foolish man attempting to understand theology!
