VerseD: Isaiah 54:17

Today, we know we have truth on our side, and living rightly leaves no room for debate or accusation.

Soon, the Lord’s victory will be complete, His enemies made His footstool, and we shall dwell in His presence forever!

VerseD: Isaiah 43:2

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.

Trust the Lord. He desires to take care of us, watch over us, and rescue us, even miraculously.

First World problems? Third World problems?

Persecution? Annoyances?

War? Feuds? Squabbles?

Whatever afflicts us, let us remember that we are either being transformed or being used to transform for Christ’s glory.

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

The Bible makes many promises for how God will bless us, but it all hinges on this: we must be in relentless pursuit of His righteous Kingdom.

Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his steadfast love,

Our God is always watching over us. Remember, “we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28)

VerseD: Ephesians 4:29

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

Our culture is steeped in dirty jokes, personal roasts, and vile notes.

God calls us to more. A joke is fine, but we should build each other up, help each other out, and invite Christ in.

VerseD: Exodus 14:14

“The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.”

Remember that vengeance belongs to the Lord (Deuteronomy 32:35), so do not retaliate in any way. Hold your tongue and hold back your hand.

In fact, turn the other cheek and forgive.

do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

The easiest way to alleviate or even avoid stress and anxiety is to continually turn to God, thanking Him even for what makes us uncomfortable or brings us pain as well as the good.

VerseD: Titus 2:11-12

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age,

In a western society, it is incredibly easy to give in to our passions and follow the world’s example.

That means it is hard to live rightly.

Praise God that He sent His Son to show us grace, and they sent the Spirit to strengthen us!

So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.

Life is hard.

As Christians we are called to reconcile with a world that makes life hard. But we have a Savior who understands and strengthens us.

Trust Him.
