“The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.” Exodus 14:14, ESV
It is possible that the Lord will remove hassles and troubles (and even evil people) in our lives, but more importantly we have peace knowing that this world will end and evil will be punished while we will find rest in Christ.
As a pastor, this verse means a lot. So often we have accusers and enemies who plot against us. The temptation is to confront them with anger. But we must remember that when we let God fight for us, He never loses.
And it seems to be the latest trend even in our own country. We talked about this last night in our study of Revelation as we got to the two witnesses.
Do we truly love the Lord our God with all our hearts, souls, minds, and strengths? Maybe I can help with the mind part, at least! This is Daniel M. Klem, apparent poet, reluctant yet passionate Disciple (Peter?), and foolish man attempting to understand theology!
