I get to church early because I am on staff and have set up duties and an Adult Sunday School class I lead.
But our church also has a prayer group at that time. And there is more set up that is needed.
There are great people to get to know better and encourage if we just show up a little earlier (or stay a little later and also help with tear down!)
What I really love about church is the community. It’s arriving early and being greeted with warm smiles and hugs, love. The catch up moments of the week gone by, the prayers the encouragement. Church is there not only for us come together to worship and learn, but also for us to be in community and encourage each other.
Do we truly love the Lord our God with all our hearts, souls, minds, and strengths? Maybe I can help with the mind part, at least! This is Daniel M. Klem, apparent poet, reluctant yet passionate Disciple (Peter?), and foolish man attempting to understand theology!
