This is a perfect pairing with the reblog from yesterday. We must be Christ-like in all circumstances. We me must pray for our leaders and admit that we are not in charge but follow the One Who is.
The election is over! All of the political ads have run and the votes are in. Last night a man was proclaimed President of the United States! Whether you liked the outcome or not. It’s over! Done! Finished!
So as a Christian, what do we do now?
Here are three things that I believe that Christians need to be doing:
1. We need to humbly pray!
II Chronicles 7:14 says, “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
We need to be praying for our President! Whether the person you voted for or not won, we must pray for our elected officials!
2. We need to turn back to God and away from our wicked ways!
