IT IS FATHER’S DAY!

I love many fathers: my daddy, my friend’s daddies, our Heavenly Daddy, lotsa daddies!

For all of the love, respect, and awe I have for all of our Father’s and Daddies and Papas, here is a poem for the occasion:

for being with me

You give me joy

more than i need

You give me strength

by being there

You hold my hand

when i am scared

and as Father

You go far above

all of the men

by giving me love

    Great poem, Dan.

    I noticed the page number. Are you pulling these out of a book you had published, or is it something that you compiled on your own?

      I have actually had two books of poetry published! (Links are on the right side of the blog) They were published in 2007 and 2009, but the next one is probably still a couple years away. I only have about 100 since the last one was published (partly because a notebook full of poems was lost).

      The poems I am posting this year will be taken from the first book. Next year I plan to start using the second book. Makes sense, eh?
